For some strange reason the uploaded file name changes to an unknown series of characters. The file w/in is intact. I've tried everything, and nothing has solved this. It's only happening on my desktop and not my laptop which are set up exactly the same way. Ideas?

    Hi,

On your desktop, check your settings when you use the Put command.

In the Put dialog, do not set the "If a file already exists:" menu to "Pick a different name". Instead, set it to "Replace existing file" .

When this menu is set to "Pick a different name," Fetch asks the server to pick a new name for your files to avoid replacing ones with the same name already. Unfortunately, some servers pick names that have little relation to the file's original name. Also, the servers will do this for every file, even if there are no name conflicts.

Let us know if that does not fix your problem.

    Thanks,

Oh brother...how simple was that. Thanks it worked. I can't believe I missed that.
