Fetch 5 Universal binary to be released as free update by Jim Matthews

Etna, NH — Fetch Softworks announces that Fetch 5, the latest version of its widely used FTP and SFTP client, will be released as a Universal Binary for use on Apple’s promised Intel-based Macintosh computers. The Universal Binary version of Fetch will be a free update for Fetch 5 licensees, and will be available as soon as Apple’s Intel-based machines are available for customer sale.

As the leading Macintosh FTP program for over a decade, Fetch has been at the forefront of past Apple system transitions. Fetch was released as a native PowerPC application the day that the first Apple Power Macintoshes made their debut in 1994, and was released as a native Mac OS X application in the spring of 2001 for that new operating system. Fetch Softworks is committed to supporting its customers through this transition as well.
