San Francisco, CA — Fetch Softworks announces that a public beta release of its popular Macintosh file transfer program Fetch 5.1 is now available. The company is demonstrating Fetch 5.1 at this week’s MacWorld Exposition in San Francisco, CA. Fetch 5.1 is a Universal Binary for compatibility with Apple’s new Intel-based iMac and MacBook Pro computers, and features new support for the Dashboard and Automator technologies of Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger.

Fetch 5.1‘s Dashboard widget lets users conveniently upload files and monitor file transfer progress. Fetch 5.1‘s extensive Automator support lets users create simple and powerful workflows. Fetch‘s Automator actions can upload, download, move, filter, delete and set permissions of files on FTP and SFTP servers. With Fetch 5.1 web authors, creative professionals, printers and publishers can streamline their file transfer tasks.

Visitors to Fetch Softworks‘ booth (#113, Special Interest Pavilion) can try Fetch 5.1, meet the developers, and enter hourly drawings to win a cute Fetch plush toy.
