Get won't overwrite folders with same name (2 posts)

When trying to download folders, I get the message " Fetch could not get "Folder Name" because the file is busy and cannot be deleted or overwritten.

Is this a fetch related issue or is this a mac permissions related issue.

    Thanks for any help.

    Hi Aaron,

Unfortunately, Fetch cannot overwrite folders when you use the Get command and have the "Overwrite files with conflicting names" preference set.

If you expect to often download the same set of folders from the server to replace the ones on your hard drive, you should look into the Mirror feature of Fetch, which synchronizes folders between the server and your Mac. That will allow you to avoid the limitation of the Get feature.

You can learn more about the Mirror feature in the Mirror window help topic.

Otherwise, you can uncheck the "Overwrite files with conflicting names" preference, and Fetch will download folders without a problem, but will rename the newly downloaded folders if a folder with that name already exists.

Please let us know if you have further questions.

    Thanks,
