Update to post. Apparently Catalina came out today at 10am PST. Has anyone tested the BETA FETCH on CATALINA?

Just saw this post to do with a beta version of Fetch for Catalina. I am in the process of installing Catalina right now and would be happy to be a beta tester. How can I get it?

Just upgraded to Catalina and found I can no longer use my favorite FTP app - Fetch. Any solutions? Thanks, Jeff

Hi,
Fetch 5.8, a 64-bit version of Fetch that is compatible with macOS 10.15 Catalina, is coming along well, thanks to the feedback from beta-testers. It is still less stable than Fetch 5.7.7, but my sense is that most of the testers who have a choice (i.e. who aren't running Catalina yet) have switched to 5.8.
You can join the beta test list by going to:

I'm using Catalina and Fetch 5.8b9 and it just stalls (quits unexpectedly) out of the blue when I switch directories on the server. It's very odd.

Hi Christina,
Could you contact me at https://fetchsoftworks.com/fetch/feedback ? I'd love to collect some information about this crash so we can fix it.
Thanks,

Thanks!! Will do, I'll start using it again so I can reproduce it. It might be Monday.

I just sent the diagnostics zip file to you via email. Thanks!

Using this beta version from my school site, any PDF I post ends up being an unreadable file or file not found. Prior to upgrading to Catalina and this beta, all worked well. However, FTPing a PDF from my HOME works fine. Not sure if my observations are correct, but thought it best to share.

Hi JeffyS,
Could you contact me at https://fetchsoftworks.com/fetch/feedback so I can collect more information about this problem? It would be helpful if you could upload a PDF from your school site and then choose "Fetch Transcript" from the Window menu and include that. I'll take a look and see what I can figure out.
Thanks,
Jim Matthews

Jim,
Good news. I used Fetch today to FTP to my own site through the college server. Last week all attempts failed. Now, all is good. :)

Jim,
I know we all can be apart of the beta testing (thank you), however can you update those of us who are not testing the beta how the progress is coming along. Catalina is just around the corner and I would very much like to upgrade same day it comes out.
Appreciate all you have done for this community. There is not a single FTP application out there that comes close to the ease of use and BBEDIT compatibility that FETCH provides.
Kind Regards,
Tom Bell
