We are pleased to report that based on our testing to date, Fetch 5.7.3 is compatible with Mac OS X 10.9 (Mavericks), aside from one minor issue.
That one issue, reported by a user and confirmed in our testing, is that the path popup menu sometimes does not appear when the Path button is clicked. Clicking the Recent button appears to fix this problem, at least temporarily. Command-clicking the window title to display the path menu is not affected. We will continue to investigate this issue to determine the cause.
What i discovered after I updated to Mavericks is that Fetch 5.7.2 is a lot slower to list large amount of folders/files.
Since my upgrade to Mavericks, most of the times Fetch does not upload my edited files to my server. I use Sublime Text or TextMate (Open them from Fetch) and start editing. Before, as soon as I saved the file, Fetch would upload it to my server. Now, it wont. I have to click Fetch to bring it on top and then it will start the upload process. Kinda that when focused.
Thanks for that feedback. What versions of Sublime Text and TextMate are you running?
Thanks,
Jim Matthews
Fetch Softworks
I use Sublime Text 3 and TextMare 1.51
I find that Fetch 5.7.3 is very slow for finding a file or folder. Scroll does not work well since I updated to Mavericks.
I’ve noticed that when running Mavericks, scrolling down long lists of files in Fetch is exceedingly slow/laggy. It takes Fetch a second or two to catch up with the scrolling I do on my mouse, and it often ends up overshooting the actual file I’m trying to scroll to.
Thanks for that feedback. How many items are in the long list you are scrolling? And are the items mostly files or mostly folders? Thanks!

Have you guys looked into App Nap in Mavericks interfering? The Transmit app devs noticed something similar: externally edited files were not uploaded immediately, but were uploaded after a few seconds delay because of App Nap. Check their website, first question in their FAQ.
In the Finder, you can open an Info window for the Fetch app and check the checkbox “Prevent App Nap” and see if that helps.
We’ve done more research and think we may have a fix for the slow scrolling problem. If you would like to try this fix, please contact us at http://fetchsoftworks.com/fetch/feedback . Thanks!
Any updates regarding the speed issue? On our job we have several ftp’s with 3-4000 folders being listed up. On Mountain Lion this goes very quickly (about 2-4 sec), but on Mavericks the same operation takes up to 20 sec (I have not used a stopwatch, but you get the idea)! I’m sorry to say, but that’s a deal breaker for me so I hope you have a fix for this soon!
