We’ve fixed a bunch of the bugs that you reported since the release of Roadshow 1.0 last month, and those fixes are now available in Roadshow 1.0.1.

The fixes:

  • Added support for videos with missing MIME types
  • Changed treatment of mute switch to be consistent with Videos app
  • Fixed a bug that caused ads to be displayed incorrectly
  • Fixed a crash when sharing a video by email
  • Fixed a crash with QuickTime reference movies
  • Fixed a problem logging into Radbox
  • Fixed crash in tap-to-save on iOS 5.0b3
  • Improved responsiveness while saving many videos
  • Improved titles for videos found on Vimeo Watch Later page

Update today, and keep the feedback coming!

  • I wish you guys would create a way to back up videos off site, as you can do with regular videos n pics through drop box and other applications. Since videos take up so much space, it’s hard to download many. It would be nice if this feature was added to unlocked roadshow users, though I do understand the copyright issues as well. Even if they were stored offsite, it could still be used only through roadshow, if the app was available for PC users as well.

    Another nice option would be the ability to at least place videos in folders within the app, as well as a locked folder option to keep people from snooping.

    This is a really nice app in general, but I do not like how it cancels a download if you switch screens. Running in the background would be another amazing upgrade to a currently good app.

  • Great app, but I also would love to be able to save videos to camera roll or Dropbox.
    This would be useful to save space, to backup videos that are no longer available online and to play videos on non-Apple devices.
